Meet Wilson.

Wilson Aurbach was born in Dallas, Texas, and has spent nearly all of his life in what is now District 30. Wilson attended D.I.S.D.'s Talented and Gifted Magnet Schools, K.B. Polk Elementary and A.W. Spence Junior High School and then graduated from Bishop Lynch High School in 1995 (all of these schools are in District 30 as it is currently drawn). In 1999, Wilson graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the highly regarded University Scholars Program. While at Baylor, Wilson excelled academically and served in various student organizations, including Student Foundation where he served as co-president and helped raise over $200,000 in scholarship funds for other Baylor students with demonstrated needs. After graduating from Baylor, Wilson entered one of the top law programs in the country at the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, Texas.

Shortly after graduating from law school, Wilson moved back to District 30 and downtown Dallas where he currently lives to begin his career as an attorney at a prominent Dallas-based law firm in 2002. He still practices commercial litigation at the same law firm and has represented a wide variety of clients at all stages of litigation. Wilson has also provided his services pro bono to clients who were unable to afford legal counsel.

In his free time (which seems to be disappearing rapidly), Wilson is an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks and is on a never-ending search for the best hamburgers and Tex-Mex food in the area. He also enjoys playing basketball and flag-football and spending time with his friends and family.

Wilson has been a member of the historic First Baptist Church of Dallas since he was very young. His parents, Dr. Fred and Patricia Aurbach have lived in the Buckner Terrace area of Dallas since 1979 and will soon celebrate their 40th Wedding Anniversary. Dr. Aurbach served the community as a dentist in downtown Dallas for nearly 30 years before retiring in 2003. Wilson also has a sister, Liesel, who lives with her husband in Vancouver, British Colombia.
