Republican Elected Officials Endorse Wilson Aurbach for Congress
Dallas, Texas, March 28, 2006 - The Wilson Aurbach for Congress campaign is excited to announce strong political endorsements in his bid for U.S. Congress. State Senator John Carona, State Representative Dan Branch, and State Representative Bill Keffer have endorsed Aurbach as the conservative candidate in the run-off election in Congressional District 30. In addition, Calvin Stephens, the Chairman of the Dallas Republican African American Leadership Council, is also supporting Aurbach.
“I am honored to have gained the confidence of these prestigious Republican elected officials and leaders in this race,” states Aurbach. “They join others in recognizing that I am the best conservative candidate to challenge Eddie Bernice Johnson in November, and with their support my campaign will aggressively pursue both the Republican nomination on April 11th and the Congressional nomination in November.”
The voters of Congressional District 30 heavily favored Wilson Aurbach over his two rivals in the primary race on March 7th. With all precincts reporting, Aurbach comfortably outpaced his two opponents, taking home 45% of the vote. Because no candidate received a majority of the vote, Aurbach will participate in a run-off election on April 11th in an effort to secure the Republican nomination.
As the only candidate with a lifetime of experience in District 30, the only candidate with a history of voting in elections, and the only candidate who has pledged to challenge Eddie Bernice Johnson on the issues, Aurbach is equipped with the background and support to take a competitive challenge to the Democrat incumbent.
